reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 4, 12-23

Upon learning that they had arrested Jesus John, he withdrew to Galilee. Leaving Nazareth, he settled in Capernaum, near the lake in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali. So was fulfilled what had said the prophet Isaiah: "Land of Zebulun and Naphtali country, toward the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. The people who sat in darkness saw a great light to those living in the land and shadow of death a light has shone. "
Then Jesus began to preach saying -" Repent because it is near the kingdom of heaven. "
Passing along the Sea of \u200b\u200bGalilee, saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, who were taking the cod in the lake they were fishermen. Les said: - "Come and follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. "Immediately they left their nets and followed him. And, going forward, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee, and John, who were in the boat going over networks with Zebedee their father. Jesus called them too.
Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, curing diseases and ailments of people.
Word of the Lord.

light and darkness belong to the religious beliefs of many believers encrypting precisely the clarity or darkness of its proximity or remoteness from God. In this sense, the failure to put their hope, their safety and strength in God Yahweh once again that people would lead to an apparent impasse, where the darkness was the environment to chew your sadness and unhappiness. So what has the first reading of the gospel Isaiah cited. A people confused by their own error, the slave of patterns that have traps in their freedom and chains in their hearts, a nation shaken by the terror of the nightmare he undertook ... that people would see the light again. A real challenge from God through his prophet: 'See your ruins, Consider your sorrows, keep your tears ... and believe that one day where you do not dwell over a land of shadows. And you can experience your joy increases and increasing joy, because the rod of the oppressor and the yoke of his burden shall be broken (Is 9.3 to 4).
Jesus is the light that shone in the darkness, which has continued to shine even though it has been rejected (Jn 1,5.9). Sent not only to the darkness of a people deported by his infidelity, but the heart of man himself, where he fought all the freedoms and slavery, where a happy destiny is decided or truncated. So the Gospel recounts the choice of Jesus to the disciples. Ordinary people caught in their fish daily, and he invites a follow-up to accession to the Person of Jesus. Hear his word, lived with him, and become witnesses of that joy.
In our environment, we continually find people who have a deep darkness, suffering almost drowning the breath of hope. And Jesus still comes to all our exiles, the great exile of the unhappiness in so many ways, to announce a Light and a joy that no one can take away (Jn 16:22). Jesus, who wishes to follow, runs through our land, our homes, our lives, to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom, curing diseases and disease.
The story topped by Jesus is still with us ... if you leave everything and follow him. Yes, we are called to belong to the people around us, from belonging to Christ, to embrace its darkness and sadness to announce something that is bigger than us, that our mind has not developed or have amassed our hands: gift of the Light of God, the gift of joy that does not pretend, the certainty of hope does not disappoint.
