Christmas Sleigh Cake Stand

has fallen under its own weight.

The title of this article could be literal if it leaves more time Roig Rabal wall in your state. It appears, as published in About the Journal a couple of weeks, which have been tendered for restoration works (the company being awarded Lubasa), so as I am relieved that I was a "pain" each time he passed through the area.

In that article was written, as I mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the word restoration . I emphasize this because it was published a few years ago was intended to put a concrete wall in front of the famous wall, so that it could expand into a lane Calle Virgen del Socorro. Thankfully, the end was not carried out.

Since then the state of the wall Postiguet is deplorable, the ashlar it is messed up at the same dirty, the fence that separates it from the road is broken and the trees that are between the wall and the fence are just used to hide a little dirt there is rampant. To this we must add the lift to the castle built by Agatángelo Soler during his tenure at City Hall (1954-1963) which is also in very poor condition.

Rabal The wall is part of the coastline of Alicante, and is not wall (something that is widely spoken in Alicante when he mentioned the possible construction of the concrete wall). The wall is announcing the New Gate of the wall of Alicante with the neighborhood of Rabal Roig (specifically to the hermitage of the Virgen del Socorro or Lluc), formed in the eighteenth century. Figueras Pacheco, in his Geography of the Kingdom of Valencia , tells us that the wall began Rabal, in his first book, during the reign of Philip III (1578 - 1621) to contain the ledge of the hill on which the suburb is built . Similarly, the author talks about the maritime tradition of the neighborhood, writing:

The houses of Arabal Roig are home to our fishermen, and from the balcony which is the street on the beach where the boats are built and up networks, may the families of the brave and suffering sailors in the distance look white sails of couples fishers. (...) Passing the shrine to which we refer (the author refers to the now defunct Ermita de la Virgen del Socorro) the extiendese in Arrabal Roig many short and steep streets that come a few steps from the beach, ending the neighborhood in the vicinity of the slaughterhouse, place and known to our readers.

Curious this neighborhood, which has become a poor neighborhood of low prices that fed salted because it was a cheap way to keep what he had caught, in a neighborhood with the most expensive streets of Alicante (Virgen del Socorro), although the origin of the neighborhood is not exactly in that street, but in its easternmost end, around the shrine of Nuestra Senora del Socorro, demolished for reasons today that are not yet known. For almost 30 years enabled a place of worship, at the request of neighbors, in the parking lot near where the old chapel (Ramon Candelas Orgiles, The hermitage of the province of Alicante) . Ultimately I left a bitter taste adrezado with some sugar. The bitter taste is the "walk" through my mouth every time I see the state in which the famous wall, coming to me shame. On the other hand are the sugary shades I read a couple of weeks, and I hope that little by little they change the taste in my mouth ... clear that I have them all with me ...

Following the "tradition" I put a new photo of a building of Alicante ...

Greetings!
